  1. III.           OUTREACH INITIATIVES

The following outreach initiatives were completed by the SEU during the reporting period:

 

A.        Management EEO Training:

 

1.  The Salem Manager of Human Resources conducts monthly HR Network Training sessions via teleconference and Powerpoint presentations, which includes review of EEO policies and compliance.  The SEU’s Office Manager participates in these training sessions each month and then routinely communicates with the SEU’s General Manager and other management team members to keep all employees apprised of the company and SEU’s policy on equal employment.

     

 

  1. B.           Job Fairs:

 

 

  1. 1.                  The SEU participated in the United Career Fairs Inc.  Job Fair for sales candidates on March 18 2013.  Applicants were presented with job opportunities, applications were handed out and résumés collected.

 

  1. 2.                  The SEU participated in the CBA Virtual Job Fair week of March 252013. Applicants could ask questions and submit résumés during the week of the job fair.

 

  1. 3.                  The SEU participated in the Choice Career Fairs Job Fair on May 8 2013.  Job opportunities were discussed, applications handed out and résumés collected.

 

 

  1. 4.                  The SEU’s participated in the CBA Virtual Job Fair week of November 152013. Applicants could ask questions and submit résumés during the week of the job fair.

 

 

 

  1. C.           Job Banks and Internet Programs:

 

The SEU participated in job banks and internet programs designed to provide general information about opportunities in broadcasting and to encourage minorities and women to consider future employment. Available positions were posted on web sites and sent to various organizations to ensure broad and inclusive outreach. In the reporting period the following sites have been used:
