Vintage racing crash kills Connecticut man
SALISBURY, Conn. (AP) — Police say a vintage racing enthusiast is dead after a crash during a race in Connecticut.
Authorities say 73-year-old Lee Duran, of Lyme, lost control of his car and crashed Saturday afternoon at Lime Rock Park. No other cars were involved.
A track spokesman did not immediately return phone and email messages from The Associated Press late Saturday. According to an entry list on the track's site, Duran was to drive a 1934 MG PA Special in a contest of pre-World War II cars.
The track was holding its 32nd annual historic racing festival.
